This guidance is intended to assist you in completing your application for a staff position within the Simulated United States of America (SUSA). Please ensure all the information you provide is accurate and detailed so we can fully understand your skills, knowledge, and experience.

Complete all sections of the Google Form or mark them as Not Applicable (N/A) where appropriate. The information you provide will help us determine your suitability for the role.

Before submitting your application, re-read your responses and check for errors or omissions. Pay close attention to spelling and punctuation. Most spell checkers will not catch words spelled correctly but used incorrectly, so review carefully.

Experience and Involvement

Please provide a full history of your involvement in SUSA and other relevant communities. This should include:

• Positions you have held (e.g., Cabinet roles, Congress, State Government, Judiciary)

• Any administrative or moderation experience in Discord communities

• Key contributions such as:

  • Running elections or political events

  • Drafting legislation or creating policies

  • Leading teams or managing operations

If you have had periods of inactivity, please explain these briefly in the section provided.

Personal Statement

This is your chance to explain why you are applying and why you would be a strong fit for the position.

Avoid vague statements like “I can do this” without evidence. Instead:

• Provide specific examples of your skills and achievements

• Explain how your experience matches the role’s requirements

• Share any ideas or plans you have for improving SUSA

• Include relevant transferable skills from other communities or real-life experience
